What we need for vacation home delivery
Vacation homes and resorts have a few extra details. Please include these in your order:
- The full address of the rental, including the community name.
- The gate or guard-house details. Many communities ask for a guest name or a gate code.
- The name and phone number of someone who will be at the house to receive the cake.
- Your check-in date. We will schedule delivery for after you arrive, never before.
- A delivery window that works around your park days, for example "after 6 pm."
Plan around your trip
- Order before you travel. We need at least 48 hours' notice, but for vacation celebrations we recommend ordering 1–2 weeks before your trip so your date is secured. Our ordering timeline guide has more detail.
- Check the fridge. Make sure there is room in the rental's refrigerator, especially for cream-based cakes such as tres leches.
- Choose a size that fits the group. A 6-inch cake serves about 8–12 people, which is perfect for most vacation families. See the sizing guide in our birthday cake post.
- Pack a candle and lighter, or ask us to add a topper.

Pickup at our Davenport kitchen is always free. It is an easy stop on the way back to your rental. Keep the cake flat on the car floor with the air conditioning on, and get it into the fridge as soon as you are back.
